Twenty years have passed since Robert Hood established M-Plant as the outlet for his pioneering, minimal reinvention of the Detroit techno blueprint. To mark this anniversary, the next milestone in the label’s musical journey was released, ‘M-Print: 20 Years of M-Plant Music’.

Challenge
Create the cover design for the ‘M-Print: 20 Years of M-Plant Music’ album release on CD.
Result
The design is based on creating movement in mass by using natural frequencies and vibrations, also known as Chladni patterns or Klangfiguren. The Klangfiguren for this design were created by German scientist and artist Alexander Lauterwasser.
